Decorating our windows with exterior shutters makes a great difference to our home. They are found to be appealing especially when they are paired with a window box full of plants, decorative window header and a window sunburst. They are also unique. Our grandmother was pleased when we showed her the changes we made to her home yesterday. We did the remodeling as our surprise 84th birthday present.
She had been mentioning how she loved houses with window boxes, decorative window headers and window sunbursts paired with exterior shutters for the past six weeks since she saw some home improvement television show. It was her way of telling us that she wants these additional decorations added to her home as our present for her 84th birthday. She might have sensed how we have been worrying what to give her for her birthday. But before we did some changes to her home, we all decided to go on a one week vacation in a resort to ensure that she does not find out about the surprise present until her birthday. Besides it was a good time to relax and refresh especially when it has been excruciatingly hot recently.
The look on her face after seeing her newly remodeled home yesterday was beyond words. The exterior shutters were already perfect as they offer not only protection and privacy but aesthetic beauty as well. But pairing these exterior shutters with window boxes full of her favorite flowering plants, window headers and sunbursts make a perfect picture. We are pleased of ourselves when we saw the result of our hard work. They made our grandmother's home look brand new again. Adding these new decorations was the least we could do for her for taking good care of us and guiding us to the right path especially during our rebel years.
