Investing your money to improve your house is never a bad thing. My aunt often tells us that she would rather spend every penny she earns in making her house beautiful rather than spending it with high-end gadgets. We could have listened to her back then, but there is no use crying over spilled milk. All we can do right now is save all the money we can get to have the kitchen repair done and hope that our loan will be approved soon.
