Storms and Us

Storms and bad weather are common acts of nature which do not happen here on earth alone but in other planets as well. However, as time passes by, it seems that these acts of nature are coming more frequently that they used to because of global warming. These natural occurrences mean destruction of our homes, farms, architectural infrastructures, pollution, diseases and our lives. But then again there is nothing we can do to stop these storms. That is beyond our human abilities. However, it is possible that in the years to come, our inventors will develop a technology which can control the weather. What we can do for now is help our ailing environment by replanting trees, using equipment, appliances and lighting fixtures with requires less energy, and recycling.

On the other hand, architects and builders have been reinventing their designs and crafts to keep up not only with fad but with the demands of our safety inside our homes as well. For all we know house repairs can really cost an arm and a leg. But if these repairs mean that we will be living in comfort and safety then it is worth it. It would be great if the materials which will be used in these repairs and home improvement are tough or durable enough to battle the storms. I have read in some articles that hardware materials made out of PVC's or Polyvinyl chloride, such as window shutters and door frames are good choices and are known for their durability and high quality. But if you are living in the tropical or subtropical parts of the globe the best choice would be those which are made of aluminum for your shutter windows such as the aluminum Bahama shutters and other hardware materials which are not only durable but are cost efficient as well.

We will battle many storms and other natural disasters in the years to come. It is important that we should be prepared when they occur. Remember that our weather condition has become erratic. Of course, we do not want our hard earned money be put to waste. Just like what I always say in my other blogs, let us do our part in helping our community battle against global warming. That way we don't have to play god.
