Shopping For Your Home

Shopping for the decorations for your home is like shopping for your clothes and accessories. It can be tiring yet fun. You have to visit different stores just to find the right materials that will complement your house. I tried shopping online for our home decorations several times just to save gas and time. However, it is really different if you see and feel the actual stuffs. 

Earlier today, I accompanied my cousin shop for some construction materials and accessories for his renovation project. I think we scoured half of the city just to look for the right construction materials and accessories for this particular renovation project. WE went from store to store. We also visited several manufacturing companies. It was like a field trip for me. The sales clerks who assisted us are patient and informative. I learned a lot of things from them such as the right way to measure exterior window shutters. It is different than hearing it on the phone than getting a demo on how to do it. I guess I just got lucky when I correctly measured for the exterior window shutters at home. A wrong measurement can be costly as the window shutters are made to order and are not returnable. I was also responsible in measuring for the exterior window shutters for my grandmother’s house and aunt’s restaurant. The thought of doing it again gives me cold feet considering it would cost an arm and a leg if the measurement is not done right. But my cousin assured me that if I have measured for the window shutters correctly for the third time that means I can do it over again. Of course there are also illustrations and videos that show the proper way to measure for the exterior shutters. Moreover, the sales representatives are also very helpful and patient.

Although I am beat after shopping from one store to another and going from manufacturing company to another, I really enjoyed it. It seems like I have been spending so much time in front of my laptop that I forgot what it was like to really shop. I am thrilled that my cousin promised to take me with him the next time he shops.
